Maarten is a Principal based in Amsterdam, where he leads the firm’s Clients and Markets activities across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. He brings a pragmatic approach and sharp commercial insight to organisations he helps to manage risk in complex, often opaque environments.
With extensive experience across multiple sectors, Maarten brings a cross-disciplinary perspective. His work spans financial services, maritime, retail, government, engineering and oil and gas, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the challenges organisations face when operating across borders and in high-risk markets.
Maarten’s expertise spans physical, political, integrity and digital risk. He is particularly recognised for his work on complex investigations, including fraud, asset tracing and conflict of interest cases. Whether advising on market entry or responding to a live crisis, there are few risk scenarios he has not encountered.

Maarten is a licensed private investigator and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Maastricht. He speaks fluent Dutch and English and has a working knowledge of German and French.
