James is a Director in Control Risks’ Crisis and Resilience Consulting practice in London, where he leads a team specialising in supporting clients with crisis management and business continuity consultancy services. James has over a decade of crisis response experience in the government, non-governmental, and commercial sectors.
Recent tasks that James has worked on include:
James joined Control Risks from Amazon, where he managed supply chain assurance programmes across Europe. He also worked as a consultant for the UK Ministry of Defence, delivering technical training analysis to deployment headquarters. Prior to joining the commercial sector, James led a crisis response team during the COVID-19 pandemic and served eight years as an officer in the British Army with several international deployments as well as UK contingency operations in support of the police.
James holds a Masters degree in Middle East Studies; he is Certified with the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), is Corporate Crisis Management Certified (CCMC) with the Management and Strategy Institute and is a Certified Member of the Institute for Strategic Risk Management.
