Franziska is a crisis and security Associate Director for Control Risks in Germany. Together with her team, she works on crisis and business continuity management projects across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Recent tasks that Franziska has worked on include:
Contributing to the implementation of a business continuity programme in accordance with the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Standard for a leading global provider of IT solutions. This included the development of several business continuity plans for the firm’s subdepartments.
Execution of an Enterprise Risk Management review for an international private school, including the development of the enterprise risk assessment methodology, the creation of an Excel-based risk assessment tool, a risk catalogue, and a heat map.
Development of a crisis management plan for a strategic management holding company, which was looking to prepare its global office representatives for any potential critical event that could arise in the future. This included the preparation and delivery of a crisis management workshop including a semi-live crisis management exercise.
Global COVID-19 “in flight” assessments for one of the world’s leading manufacturers of equipment for the semiconductor industry. During these assessments, the existing crisis, business continuity management and pandemic-related procedures were reviewed. Lessons learned were concluded and the client was enabled to make necessary changes before a further “wave” of the virus.
Before joining Control Risks, Franziska was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she worked predominantly on crisis and business continuity management projects. Prior to that, she worked at Vestas, the Danish wind turbine manufacturer, where she supported the business continuity and crisis management department with the implementation and maintenance of the group-wide crisis management framework.
Franziska holds a Master of Science degree in security risk management from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Westminster in London, UK. Franziska is a member of the Business Continuity Institute and holds the CBCI qualification, she has passed the exam with merit. In addition to her native German, she has a business proficiency in English and speaks Spanish at an intermediate level.
