Based in Mexico City, Eric is part of our Crisis and Security Consulting team, supporting clients across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. He is responsible for delivering security risk consulting solutions in the region and advising clients on issues related to risk management, prevention and crisis management.

Recent tasks that Eric has worked on include:

  • Coordinating executive protection teams for both local and international clients.
  • Delivering comprehensive embedded security personnel proposals for multinational clients in high-risk areas of Mexico.
  • Developing and implementing defensive driving training seminars and hands-on courses across Latin America.
  • Leading reconnaissance missions to support Journey Management Plan development.
  • Facilitating country-specific security awareness training for local and international staff.
  • Coordinating emergency relocations and evacuations during high-risk deployments across Central and South America.

Eric has over 17 years of experience in security, with a primary focus on Latin America. Before joining Control Risks, Eric provided critical support as a Liaison Officer Security and Logistics, and as a Deputy Security Expert for European Union Electoral Observation Missions around the globe. He has also served as Coordinator of Security for the Organization of American States (OAS) on their deployments to High-Risk Latin American and Caribbean countries.

Eric has completed training and educational courses from various international institutions, such as International Security Management from University of Rotterdam, United Nations Department of Security and Safety (UNDSS), European External Action Service (EEAS), OAS, World Health Organization (WHO), and several from private security companies. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Finnish.
