Eric is a Senior Consultant for the Business Intelligence team for Sub Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Control Risks, Eric worked for leading ESG, due diligence and political risk consultancies, with an emphasis on francophone and lusophone Africa. He has extensive experience supporting clients across the wider extractive and energy industries, including iron ore and bauxite, metals, LNG and renewables.
Eric worked and lived in-region for over four years, in countries including Côte d’Ivoire, Angola, Congo-Brazzaville, South Africa and Senegal, and continues to travel frequently to the region to attend industry conferences and support project delivery for clients.

Eric is a fluent French, Portuguese, Spanish and Dutch speaker and has a keen interest in the intersection between qualitative information gathering and data-driven intelligence. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international management from the University of Bath, United Kingdom.
