Daryl Free is an Associate Director for Control Risks' Crisis and Security Consulting team.
Based in Houston, Daryl leads the development, management and delivery of security risk management projects.
Recent tasks that Daryl has worked on include:
- Leading site evaluations for mass layoff events across the U.S. to develop best practice recommendations for multinational clients.
- Delivering tailored security awareness and advanced driver training to corporate executives, personal driver teams and Fortune 500 clients, both on-site and remotely.
- Acting as close protection and event security lead for clients operating in both the U.S. and Mexico.
- Coordinating evacuation operations for multinational organizations during major hurricanes across the Caribbean.
Before joining Control Risks, Daryl managed a network of security providers for a global risk management firm based in Houston. He led large-scale security operations, supported political and medical evacuations and conducted physical security risk assessments across domestic and international sites.
He also expanded the security provider's network, investigated reported incidents and oversaw Tier 1 security operations, to ensure high performance standards.
