Christian Perlingiere is the Partner heading Brazil and the Southern Cone, based in São Paulo. With deep in-house and advisory expertise in the global extractive sector – especially mining and metals – and in Latin America, he works with leaders across a wide range of sectors.
Clients approach Christian with complex issues including sensitive compliance investigations, security issues, crisis management, and strategic assessments.
Recent engagements include:
- Helping a major Latin American fintech stand up a multi-jurisdictional GSOC in advance of global expansion, ensuring premium and consistent support for their growth into new markets
- Presenting a regional risk outlook to a manufacturing client CEO in advance of their yearly strategy meetings, allowing the client to adjust their planning as required
Clients value Christian’s combination of pragmatism, sense of urgency and strategic insight, and his diverse professional experience. While he supports his clients as they assess holistic risks, source intelligence and co-ordinate protective details, he also guides them as they think through future risks, helping them to identify the approach and investment that will mitigate them.
Before joining Control Risks, he delivered Asia-focused geopolitical risk analysis and acted as Investor Relations Officer (Asia) for Vale SA. Christian also led teams across a range of different consultancies, delivering intelligence-based investigations, high-touch executive protection, and security projects for clients in multiple sectors and jurisdictions.
Christian graduated in International Affairs from Georgetown University and completed management and finance courses at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He speaks fluent English and Portuguese, as well as good Spanish, Italian and Mandarin.
