Anthony Ippoliti is a Director within Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consulting team in New York. He provides consulting support for crisis management, insider risk, intellectual property protection, incident response planning, and business continuity program development.

Recent tasks that Anthony has worked on include:

  • Scoped and developed a crisis management program for a global Fortune 100 client
  • Designed an intellectual property protection and travel risk safety program for a leading technology company 
  • Developed an insider risk program template for delivery to major international organizations
  • Anthony joined Control Risks after several years in the geopolitical and threat management consulting space, where he worked with clients to address and mitigate issues arising from political instability, regional conflict, and a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape. 

    A former Operations Officer for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Anthony spent a decade working within the Directorate of Operations, the CIA arm responsible for the clandestine collection of human intelligence. He completed multiple tours throughout the Middle East and Asia, tasked with covertly acquiring foreign intelligence vital to US national security on a range of issues, including those related to cyber, counterterrorism, and counterproliferation

    Anthony is a Marine Corps infantry veteran of the war in Iraq, where he served in Fallujah. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Connecticut, and is proficient in Farsi/Persian. Outside of his day-to-day work, Anthony volunteers with a local refugee assistance organization.
