Control Risks’ Sanctions Country Monitor dashboard and sanctions experts gave a multinational bank the tools and support to improve their sanctions monitoring.
Our client, a multinational bank headquartered in Europe, approached Control Risks to help their compliance team improve their sanctions risk management efforts and overall understanding of sanctions.
Mapping risk exposure
When approached by the bank, we initially recommended that they implement our Sanctions Country Monitor, an online dashboard that provides up-to-date sanctions risk ratings and assessments for 224 countries across 11 sectors, including financial services.
Our Sanctions Country Monitor dashboard allows the clients to monitor their sanctions risk exposure across multiple jurisdictions, stay on top of regulatory changes, and identify key sanctions triggers. As part of their subscription, our client also had access to Control Risks experts for additional support and analysis.
A self-service tool
Control Risks’ Sanctions Country Monitor gave the bank’s legal and compliance teams a self-service tool to support their day-to-day sanctions risk monitoring and compliance. Our client could also anticipate how sanctions risk might evolve and strategise how they could manage it by drawing on the support of our experts.
