Andy is a Partner in our Security Risk Consulting business, based in London. He leads the EMEA advisory team in the Built Environment & Infrastructure (BE&I) sector, also supporting the Advisory and Risk Consulting practice. A Chartered Security Professional (CSyP), he delivers multidisciplinary risk consulting services and business protection advice to Control Risks’ clients across Europe and Africa.
Working across a broad spectrum of business sectors, Andy delivers security programmes within BE&I, as well as corporate and operational security, business continuity and crisis management services. Providing executive-level advice and decision support on crisis readiness, response and recovery from actual crisis events and business disruption, he ensures a holistic approach that helps leaders make informed, strategic decisions.
Recent engagements include:
- Managing multi-faceted security programmes for giga-city projects in the Middle East, co-ordinating and delivering security projects across the built environment, including risk assessments and security strategies for large-scale, multi-use master planning projects in Saudi Arabia
- Delivering projects to develop target operating model and security governance options for security transformation programmes in the Financial Services, Technology (Data Centre), Manufacturing and FMCG sectors
- Delivering a programme to review operational security, travel security and the wider security management and organisation for a UHNW Family Office, providing strategic advice on security design and strategy
Andy has over 25 years of experience in advisory capacity including secondments with clients such as the London Security Team for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. He sits on the executive committee for Security in Complex Environments (SCEG), a special interest group committed to the development and implementation of international standards in private security and crisis management.
Before joining Control Risks, he worked for Deloitte’s Resilience and Security practice and before that he served as a British Army Officer. He holds a BA in Geography & Environmental Science from the University of Leeds.
