Dominic Casserley became Chair of Control Risks on May 1st, 2024. Dominic has been senior adviser with Warburg Pincus LLC since 2017, focused mainly on private equity and serving on a number of their portfolio company boards.
Prior to that, Dominic had a thirty-year career at McKinsey & Company (1983-2013) where he was based first in New York, then Hong Kong and finally London; Casserley's work at McKinsey focused on financial services clients. He served on the Shareholders Council of McKinsey from 1998 to 2013, and for five years oversaw the global finances of the company.
In 2013, Dominic became the CEO of Willis, the global corporate insurance broker. He initiated and oversaw the merger with Towers Watson to create Willis Towers Watson (WTW), a $ 10bn revenue company listed on NASDAQ. He served as President of WTW until December 2016.
Dominic was also the Chairman of ERM, the environmental consulting firm, from 2019 to 2022.
Dominic attended Cambridge University, where he read History and was also President of the Cambridge Union, the university’s debating society. He has been involved in a number of charitable organisations, including while in London being Chairman of the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) during the 2000s and on the boards of multiple theatres, including the National Theatre. Dominic was born and raised in the UK, but now lives in Connecticut (US). He is married with three children.
