Iren Burentawara at Control Risks

Before joining Control Risks, I was a change consultant and business analyst at a central London IT consultancy. Specialising in digital transformation for insurance and pension sectors, I managed global projects, delivering digital solutions.

When I started, Control Risks had just begun a digital transformation journey. It was exciting to be part of that innovation to increase value through creating new digital products and enhance existing services. IT is typically a male-driven space and during the recruitment it was clear to me that they want to be different, hire more female colleagues and create the culture that embraces change and continuous improvement.

As a digital business analyst, I collaborate with stakeholders, bridging gaps between issues and solutions. I document and translate insights into user stories, working with developers, designers, and architects to deliver tailored digital solutions. My Control Risks journey enriches me with a welcoming atmosphere. Our Women’s Network fosters connections, enhancing networking through events like "speed meeting".

Beyond work, I explore cultures and cuisines through travel. I also like water sports such as snorkelling and paddle boarding which have brought amazing encounters with turtles, sharks, and exotic fish. On land I like to play golf with my husband, go for long walks with my dog and spend time in my garden.
