I joined the company because it was, and still is regarded as the blue-chip company of security organisations. My time with Control Risks has been both rewarding and challenging, carrying out complex security commitments in Iraq, Mozambique and more recently Ukraine. I have consistently worked with a highly experienced peer group who act as both advisors and mentors to advance my career within the company, driving the ‘one team’ culture within the workplace.
My most memorable experience with Control Risks was when we were engaged by a major African construction company to perform a complex equipment recovery project at the height of an insurgency in Northern Mozambique. At short notice we organised a team of experienced security personnel whilst managing a complex relationship with the local military. The project was a complete success for both the client and Control Risks, despite the challenges of operating in an extremely hostile environment.
Outside of work my life is centered around my family, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which I compete in at both National and International levels.
