  • Redesigned the due diligence procedures of a global pharmaceutical company’s ABAC program, identifying a comprehensive solution to transform the compliance team and reduce false positives requiring review. Provided reputational due diligence reports on HCPs, third parties, and key suppliers. Assisted third-party audits with critical information about escalated issues.
  • Oversaw screening of over 1 million customer records for a global Fortune 100 company before it self-disclosed to the US DOJ, pinpointing several counterparties with exposure to US and EU sanctions regimes. Consulted with the client’s outside counsel on data collection and cleansing of the customer records as well as the procedures to identify ultimate beneficial owners.
  • Engaged a global manufacturing company on annually delivering over 2,000 risk-based due diligence reports on its third-party intermediaries, sales agents, and distributors. Implemented a highly customized SaaS solution for its third-party management workflow. 
  • Engaged a social media and technology company on identifying risks about new joint venture partners in high-risk jurisdictions as well as delivering over 1,000 due diligence reports on third parties. 
  • Provided pre-acquisition and pre-IPO due diligence for dozens of financial institutions uncovering reputational issues and debt liabilities held by board members and C-suite executives before a transaction was closed, allowing for adjustments to the value and sales price.

    Before joining Control Risks, Jeff was a director on PwC’s Forensics team. In that role, he led client engagements and oversaw the DC-based global intelligence team. Prior to that, he held several roles with Kroll culminating as an Associate Managing Director, where he was responsible for a 100+ due diligence research teams in the New York and Washington, DC offices and managed strategic client accounts. He began his career as a research analyst with a DC-based boutique shop conducting threat assessments, background investigations, and investigative due diligence. Jeff earned a Master of Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island. He studied Arabic language at the University of Damascus (Syria).
