Bachir is a Principal in Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consulting practice in Asia Pacific. Bachir spearheads the Security Design Engineering business within the region. He is an expert in analysis, design, inspections, and documentation of integrated security projects from tender stage through to project completion. This includes full systems testing and commissioning in compliance with the project's technical specifications and the local authorities’ standards and regulations.
Bachir prepares security risk assessments, security protection plans, gap analysis, concept design reports and drawings, schematic reports, security technical and performance specifications and schematics. He also handles security tender documents, including equipment schedules, project design reports and tender evaluation reports. He also specialises in developing bandwidth estimates and storage reports, security system network design or schematics, estimated power loads and heat dissipation, and indicative security products opinion of cost. Bachir has extensive experience in the technical security field with 19+ years practicing in the domain.

Prior to his current role, Bachir worked extensively in the United Arab Emirates as a security consultant and project engineer. He has had extensive involvement in numerous construction projects including critical infrastructure, hotels, data centres, airports, mixed-use developments, football stadiums, hospitals, museums and offices.
Bachir holds a Bachelor of Science in computer sciences and communications.
