William Daly serves as a Partner for Global Client Services and is head of the New York office. Bill has developed personal protection programs for prominent individuals and supported corporate crisis management teams during real-life incidents. He has provided advice and liaison with law enforcement and government authorities.

Bill has also served as corporate security leadership while managing outsourced corporate security programs and has worked with globally expanding organizations. An acclaimed expert in the field of international security, terrorism, law enforcement and investigative techniques, Bill is often featured in print and television media.


Highlights of Bill's work include:
  • Leading a large project team to assist a Fortune 100 company that was targeted by an international “special interest” group. The project included monitoring and analysis as well as mitigation/protection strategies for the corporation and its executives.
  • Developing comprehensive benchmarking analysis for a major international restaurant chain which was examining the organizational structure and staffing levels of its corporate security organization.
  • Providing executive-level management for a key personnel protection program of an international banking authority, including full-time embedded Control Risks protection personnel in over 10 locations globally.
  • Providing expert security testimony during high-profile terrorism-related court cases.


Prior to joining Control Risks, Bill was a Managing Director at Kroll Associates, helping found their global Corporate Security Consulting practice. Prior to that, he oversaw Worldwide Security Systems and Operations at Merrill Lynch & Co as well as a major international bank. Bill had a first successful career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, handling a variety of sensitive investigations such as the Samuel Bronfman Jr. kidnapping, bank robberies and terrorist bombings at Fraunces Tavern and LaGuardia Airport in New York.

Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from John Jay College and serves on the ASIS International Standards and Guidelines Commission.
