Rejil leads the forensic technology practice for the Middle East. He is a forensic technology specialist with over 12 years’ experience across multiple sectors and a focus on data analytics, digital forensics, and eDiscovery.

Rejil leads the forensic technology practice for the Middle East. He is a forensic technology specialist with over 12 years’ experience across multiple sectors and a focus on data analytics, digital forensics, and eDiscovery. 

Rejil provides clients with advice on compliance solutions concerning forensic data collection and expert analysis, document review and analysis, data analytics, incident response,  and cyber investigations.


Some projects Rejil has conducted for his clients include:
  • Led and conducted complex lookback exercises in the region, assisting several clients in combining their unstructured data like emails, phone communications with structured data like financial transactions and SWIFT messages to review in a single platform for any potential sanction breaches.
  • Led an investigation that involved collecting data from devices used by the C-suite and the company servers to examine logs and artefacts related to a remote intrusion into a Middle East-based medical supply company.
  • Conducted a data analytics investigation for a major bank in the region to help them identify and understand the fraudulent transactions conducted by the General Manager of a branch.
  • Led the compliance transformation project for a bank in the Middle East and conducted training for all bank staff to educate them about the new compliance policies and procedures that were implemented in the Bank.
  • Led a project that involved assisting a highly reputed University in the Middle East to develop their governance framework, processes and procedures for building their investigations lab.


Prior to joining Control Risks, Rejil was leading the eDiscovery team in the region at a “Big 4” accountancy firm. Rejil has a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
