Pablo E. Pablo E. Gil de Montes is a Director within Control Risks’ Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence practice in the Americas region.  Pablo brings extensive experience working on managing all stages of discovery in multi-jurisdictional and investigative matters involving financial fraud, bribery, corruption and antitrust. 

He has conducted anticorruption engagements throughout Africa, Europe, Middle East, South America and Asia leveraging a unique range of expertise in compliance, accounting, data analytics and interviewing. He also has several years of experience involving managed review teams creating defensible strategies to minimize costs on cross-border disputes and government inquiries abroad. 


Pablo’s recent work includes:
  • Consulting on several internal investigations regarding potential FCPA violations in South America. Pablo managed the document collections, data production and managed reviews for multilanguage investigations. 
  • Overseeing a pilot program for the US DOJ’s criminal division regarding several multijurisdictional and cross border investigations. Pablo coordinated a team of attorneys working as government sub-contractors in the investigative review of several potential subpoenas. 


Pablo is a regular speaker at conferences and has given numerous presentations on compliance and anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and ethics issues. He has been quoted in publications and news articles in Peru and Europe. Pablo graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law earning JD and LLM degrees. He is also trained in civil law with a JD-equivalent degree from the Universidad de Lima in Peru. He is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in Italian and proficient in Portuguese.
