Kimlynne heads up the Forensic Technology team in South Africa as an Associate Director in the EMEA Data and Discovery Insights practice. She specialises in Litigation Support and eDiscovery focussing on digital forensics, eDiscovery, intelligence, data analytics, compliance, and fraud investigation projects across the region. Kimlynne has a comprehensive knowledge of Europe, UK and South African regulations with over 15 years’ experience in managing high profile regulatory, litigation and cartel investigations in Africa as well as Europe and UK.  

Some examples of Kimlynne’s work include:

  • 14 years’ experience in eDiscovery, Litigation support, digital Forensics and data analytics in Africa and UK;
  • Collection and imaging of devices and data in Competition Commission/ Regulatory investigations. Preservation of data and support through the eDiscovery Process. ;
  • Preservation and portable on-site scanning of hardcopy documents across multiple sites. All documents processed and converted into a Relativity load file to be viewed by legal teams remotely. ;
  • Supporting trials, hearings and/or arbitrations using dedicated platforms hosted by approved vendors, enabling live feeds of procedures throughout the lifecycle.
  • Project Management across multiple eDiscovery and Data hosting reviews.

  • Prior to joining Control Risks, Kimlynne was a Senior Manager at one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms in South Africa. Her Forensic Technology career started at an international Law firm, based in London where she was a Senior Forensic Technology Consultant in their litigation department for 8 years. She has supported a range of clients in both regions with a variety of complex and sensitive projects and investigations. Kimlynne also holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Information and Communications Technology.
