Jonathan is a crisis and security senior consultant for Control Risks in Germany. Together with his team, he works on securing and maintaining business across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Recent tasks that Jonathan has worked on include:
- Introduction, implementation and improvement of the business continuity lifecycle within an international industry group.
- Inspection of the event security measures for an international sporting event.
- Conducted Security Vulnerability Assessments of corporate sites and private residences.
- Embedded Consultant in the IT Vendor Risk Assessment Center of a global financial institution with a special focus on information security and data centres.
- Delivered comprehensive Security Management workshops for an oil and gas company in North Africa.
- Conducted crisis management exercises with a focus on extortion.
Jonathan holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations with a focus on International Security from the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and a dual-subject Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Economics from the University of Goettingen, Germany. Jonathan is a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP®) and holds a Certificate of Business Continuity Institute (CBCI).
In addition to his native German, Jonathan has a business proficiency in English and basic French. Benefiting from living in different countries (South Africa, Australia, Netherlands, Germany), working in different environments and immersing himself in non-western cultures and ways of thinking have broadened Jonathan’s view on how things can be done.
