Jackie Yuan is an Associate Director at Control Risks, based in Shanghai. She advises both inbound and outbound multinational companies on risk management solutions. Jackie also leads a China localisation team who create and localise risk intelligence content for the local China market.

Jackie Yuan is an Associate Director at Control Risks, based in Shanghai. She advises both inbound and outbound multinational companies on risk management solutions. She supports clients with solutions in crisis management, business continuity, risk monitoring and due diligence. Jackie also leads a China localisation team who create and localise risk intelligence content for the local China market.


Her recent experience includes:
  • Developing a crisis management and business continuity programme for a Europe-based automotive manufacturer in Greater China: from assessing, planning, implementing, to training both at corporate and site level; with special modules on pandemic response and supply chain business continuity planning.
  • Providing a global risk monitoring service for a Chinese electronic consumer company in countries and territories that the company operates in.
  • Leading the development and operations of the Chinese version of Control Risks’ global risk information platform CORE with a localisation team.
  • Conducting a security maturity assessment for a leading mainland China-based tech company and providing recommendations.
  • Supporting a leading Chinese tech company on a wide range of risk management issues around geopolitical problems, security management, travel risk analysis and monitoring, crisis management training and security awareness training.

 

Before joining Control Risks, Jackie worked at a strategic consulting company where she provided market entry, market mapping, sourcing, and competitive intelligence advice to clients in the pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors.

Jackie graduated from the University of Sheffield with a master’s degree in international political economy. She also has a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is a Certificated ISO 22301 Business Continuity Lead Auditor. Jackie is a native Mandarin speaker, is fluent in English and conversant in Japanese and Cantonese.
