Claudia Navas is an Analyst for the Global Risk Analysis team, based in Control Risks’ Bogotá office. Claudia provides clients with advice and analysis on political, social and security risk in Ecuador, Bolivia and Panama. She conducts assessments for clients across a wide range of sectors, including oil and gas, mining, energy, infrastructure and technology.

Before joining Control Risks, Claudia supported the Colombian government as an advisor for the implementation and follow-up of the 2016 peace agreement signed between the government and the FARC guerrilla group. Claudia also worked a researcher at the Resource Center for Conflict Analysis (CERAC), a research center based in Bogotá.
Claudia completed a bachelor’s degree in political science at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a master’s degree in international peace studies from the University of Notre Dame. In addition to her experience in the Andean region, Claudia also has experience working on projects in African countries such as Uganda and Lesotho. Claudia is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
