Alejandra Perez is a Principal within Control Risks’ Compliance, Intelligence, Investigations and Technology practice, based in Washington DC.  She oversees the Legal Technology Project Management Team and focuses on eDiscovery and managed review. She has significant experience with financial and pharmaceutical clients and has managed litigation responses involving complex, cross border data privacy issues.


Prior representative engagements include:
  • Overseeing 3 large scale managed services facilities seating nearly 500 attorneys and coordinating legal project management, legal staffing and technology to support clients in many industries.
  • Implementing technology assisted review for Fortune 100 financial services client, Alejandra substantially increased review team speed while maintaining accuracy in order to successfully meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Consulting with global company on internal investigation response plan, Alejandra developed and implemented a flexible, high-speed data collection workflow that prioritized high-value data, giving the client immediate insight into the situation.


Prior to joining Control Risks, Alejandra was a Director at DTI, overseeing the DC, NYC and St. Louis project management teams. She consulted with clients to develop customized eDiscovery project plans, including staffing options, workflows, budgets and timelines. Prior to DTI, Alejandra was discovery counsel at LeClairRyan for several Fortune 500 clients. She advised clients on all aspects of large scale litigation, including legal hold notices, data collection, custodian interviews, meet and confer conferences, ESI protocols, and document review. Alejandra has managed the full range of eDiscovery projects from those lasting less than 2 days to those lasting over 2 years. She integrates in-house Legal and IT teams with outside counsel and technical services to create high-performance teams for litigation and crisis response.

Alejandra is a member of the Virginia Bar and a certified Project Management Professional. She graduated with a BS in Biology from the College of William and Mary and has a JD from The George Washington University Law School.
